At more than 2 million hectares, the Kruger National Park is one of the world’s largest game reserves and a truly remarkable destination.  Kruger Park is the size of Israel and slightly smaller than Belgium.

The Kruger National Park is in northeastern South Africa.  Its high density of wild animals includes the Big 5: lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. Hundreds of other mammals make their home here, as do diverse bird species such as vultures, eagles and storks.  Mountains, bush plains and tropical forests are all part of the landscape.

Because of its exceptional size you can experience amazing diversity – from the scenery and ecosystems to the vast array of animals, trees and birds.  A trip to the Kruger National Park is an unforgettable experience, with over 1800 kilometers of well maintained roads and 21 rest camps.

Itinerary

Day 1

Very early pick-up from your hotel in Hazyview / White River area, before driving to one of the entrance gates to Kruger National Park. During a Kruger Park tour, you will have the opportunity to experience a small area of this vast reserve which covers almost 2 million hectares of unspoilt terrain . The Southern half consists of small hills and rocky outcrops dominated by Knob thorn, Marula and Bush Willow Trees while the Northern side is sparser, arid and Mopani bush predominates. The openness of the game drive vehicle allows you to sense these aromas. While in search of the elusive leopard, we spent time at waterholes, lookout points and stop at picnic spots, at regular intervals to enjoy meals and refreshments. We may come across buffalo crossing the road or a herd of elephant browsing. Sit back and relax while an experienced guide shares his extensive knowledge of the surroundings. The park is unrivalled in its diversity of flora and fauna – 2000 different forms of vegetation sustain an unmatched richness of wildlife: 146 species of mammals, over 490 different kinds of birds, 114 species of reptiles, 49 kinds of freshwater fish, 33 species of amphibians and innumerable insects and other forms of life – many of them found nowhere else. Blankets are supplied during the winter season and ponchos on rainy days.
